EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State head women's basketball coach Robyn Fralick announced the addition of Kennedy Blair (Dearborn, Mich.) to the 2023-24 roster, as a preferred walk-on.
"We are so excited to have Kennedy join our huddle," Fralick said. "What stands out the most about watching Kennedy play is the incredible joy with which she plays. She elevates those around her with her passion for playing. We love her feel for the game, her ability to score and rebound. We are thrilled for her to be a Spartan."
Blair is a 5-9 guard, who graduated from Divine Child High School. The four-year letterwinner was a finalist for Miss Basketball her senior season. A three-time All-Catholic League selection, Blair was also named to the All-Metro West first-team the last two seasons. She scored her 1,000th point in the 65th game of career. In her final year at Divine Child, Blair also garnered first-team All-State honors.
In her junior campaign, she was named to the All-Michigan first-team by the Detroit News, MLive.com and the Associated Press, while earning All-State second-team honors from the Detroit Free Press. Blair scored a total of 883 points last season, averaging 20 points, eight rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks per game, while helping the Falcons to their second district title in three years.
Fralik enters her first season at the helm of the Spartans after being named Michigan State head coach on March 31, 2023.
