Charles Named to USA Field Hockey 2023-24 Women's National Indoor Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Michigan State field hockey rising sophomore Cecily Charles has been named to the 2023-24 USA Field Hockey Women's National Indoor Team, as announced by the organization June 2.Â
Charles, a goalkeeper from Millersville, Pennsylvania, is one of 16 athletes to be named to the 2023-24 squad. Charles was also named to the 2022-23 Women's National Indoor Team in September 2022.Â
The U.S. Women's National Indoor Team will compete in the 2024 Indoor Pan American Cup in March 2024, held in Calgary, Canada, and look to qualify for the 12-team FIH Hockey Indoor Cup in 2025.Â
Charles played high school field hockey for Penn Manor High School, where she won three Lancaster-Lebanon League championships and was a two-time Lancaster-Lebanon League All-Star. She also played club field hockey for Nook Hockey, making two National Indoor Championship appearances (2020, 2021), and competed at the 2021 USA Field Hockey NEXUS Championship.Â
