Pro Camp Returns to Munn Arena

East Lansing -- Michigan State's annual August Pro Camp is happening this week at Munn Arena.

The annual camp – run by longtime Spartan assistant coach Tom Newton and former Spartan netminder Jason Muzzatti – brings back MSU's professional hockey players for a high-paced week of drills and scrimmages to help prepare them for their upcoming pre-season camps throughout all levels of professional hockey.

While many Spartans playing in Europe have already returned to their teams abroad, the lineup of professional players returning to participate in at least one day of camp at MSU include goaltenders Drew DeRidder and John Lethemon; defensemen Christian Krygier, Jeff Petry, Tommy Miller, Jerad Rosburg and Michael Underwood, and forwards Justin Abdelkader, Tommy Apap, Mason Appleton, Charlie Combs, Adam Goodsir, Taro Hirose, Jagger Joshua, Patrick Khodorenko, Logan Lambdin, Mitchell Lewandowski, Mackenzie MacEachern, Cody Milan, and Tanner Sorenson.

Muzzatti and Newton have run this annual camp for more than two decades. The week will conclude with the annual MSU Alumni Golf Outing on Saturday, with more than 130 Spartan hockey alumni slated to attend.

The Spartan players (and their other invited guests) are on the ice daily at Munn Ice Arena from 11 am – 1 pm.
