
Brooke Biermann Named Big Ten Golfer of the Week

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State senior women's golfer Brooke Biermann was named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week on Thursday afternoon.
Biermann helped lead the Spartans to a tie for second place at the Tar Heel Invitational last weekend at the Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C.
MSU shot a 19-over par 859 (286-283-290) and finished tied for second in the 17-team field.
Biermann shot an even-par 70 in the final round and was the top finisher for Michigan State, tying for 11th place at 5-over par 215 (71-74-70).
Biermann has been the top finisher in all three events for the Spartans this year and leads the team with a 71.11 scoring average.
This is the second Big Ten Golfer of the Week honor for Biermann this season and the fifth of her career.
Michigan State closes out its Fall season at the Landfall Tradition, which will be held from Friday, Oct. 25 to Sunday, Oct. 27 at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C.
