Rippetoe Era on the Horizon for MSU Rowing in Florida Friday

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State Rowing is set to kick off it's first season under Head Coach Stacey Rippetoe at the Sunshine State Invite in Sarasota, Fla. on Friday and Saturday, March 29-30.

Rippetoe will be the fourth head coach in Spartan history to lead the Michigan State Rowing team in competition on the water after taking over the role on June 8, 2023, as announced by Michigan State Vice President and Director of Athletics Alan Haller.
Also making their Spartan debuts will be several novices and a handful of other roster adds. The Spartans will field seven boats: a Varsity 8, second V8, Varsity 4A, V4B, V4C, and the novice third V8 and fourth V8. MSU will be pitted against 15 other teams.
MSU also returns several experienced student-athletes to its varsity lineups such as senior and First Team All-Big Ten coxswain Lizzie Johnston, graduate student and RBC Canadian Olympic Training Ground invite Ella Kubas.
