Jaden Akins Earns Academic All-District Honors

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State men's basketball junior guard Jaden Akins was selected to the Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Communicators on March 26.

Akins is a communications major who carried a 3.616 grade-point average during the Fall semester.

He finished the 2023-24 season fourth on the team in scoring with 10.4 points per game and was tied for the team lead in 3-pointers made (64), while adding 3.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game. Akins shot 41.0 percent from the floor and 36.4 percent from 3-point land.

Jeremy Fears Jr. handed out 16 assists in Michigan State's win over Louisville in the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
