The Spartans sign Amiya Bowles, securing four new additions for the 2026-27 season.
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State women's tennis coach Kim Bruno has announced an additional signee for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
A native of Columbus, Ohio, Amiya Bowles is the newest athletic and academic commitment to Michigan State women's tennis.
Bowles has notched various accolades throughout her early career, notably securing three consecutive OHSAA Division II state titles in singles action. She is just the sixth player in Ohio's history to achieve the feat of winning three-straight titles.
With her accomplished high school career, dropping only one set and going 56-0, Bowles is the No. 1 ranked player in Ohio and peaked at No. 14 nationally for her graduating class.
Bowles also brings ITF Tournament experience to the court, securing the J30 Cincinnati championship earlier in 2025. In addition, Bowles won the USTA Bordas and Bordas West Virginia Open Women's Championship in 2023, establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with at a young age.
Bowles will be welcomed to Michigan State in the fall of 2026 along with three signees previously announced in November for the Spartans' 2026-27 roster.
