Michigan State Baseball Announces Complete 2026 Schedule

Spartans scheduled for 56-game slate.
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State baseball's complete 2026 schedule was announced on Monday.
Head coach Jake Boss Jr. and the Spartans will play 25 non-conference games, opening on Friday, Feb. 13, along with 30 Big Ten Conference games, starting in mid-March and one exhibition game.
MSU opens the 2026 season in Louisville, Kentucky, taking on Louisville in a three-game series, Feb. 13-15. Michigan State then heads to Austin, Texas the following weekend for a three-game weekend series at Texas, Feb. 20-22.Â
To conclude the first calendar month of the schedule and open the second, the Spartans head to their home away from home, Fluor Field in Greenville, South Carolina for five games, hosting the First Pitch Invitational with Illinois, Albany and James Madison, Feb. 27-March 1, with the game against Big Ten foe Illinois a non-conference game, as the Spartans and Illini aren't scheduled to play each other during the B1G slate. MSU then takes on Winthrop on March 3 and Clemson on March 4 in midweek action.Â
Michigan State then opens Big Ten action on the road for its first two of 10 total conference series, playing at Nebraska (March 6-8) and at Rutgers (March 13-15).Â
MSU also plays non-conference contests at in-state foes Eastern Michigan (March 11) and Michigan (March 18).
Michigan State's home opener at Jeff Ishbia Field at McLane Stadium is on March 20, hosting Iowa in the first of three (March 20-22) in the Spartans' home B1G opening action as well.
MSU is slated to host a total of five conference series and play on the road for five series, as Michigan State will take on 10 of the 17 B1G teams (Wisconsin does not field a varsity baseball program), including two of the four newest additions, in playing 30 conference contests.
Along with weekend series at Nebraska and Rutgers, the Spartans also play at Northwestern (April 3-5), Washington (April 17-19) and Ohio State (May 8-10).Â
In addition to hosting Iowa, Michigan State also has home series against Purdue (March 27-29), Michigan (April 10-12), Maryland (24-26) and UCLA (May 1-3).Â
Michigan State will also play non-conference road games at Central Michigan (March 24) and Notre Dame (April 8), along with a neutral site match-up with Western Michigan (April 15) in Comstock Park, Michigan.
The Spartans host non-conference contests against Central Michigan (March 31), Oakland (April 14), Notre Dame (April 22), Bowling Green (May 5), Western Michigan (May 6), Eastern Michigan (May 12), along with a three-game non-conference series against Illinois State (May 14-16), to close out the regular season.
Michigan State will also take on the Lansing Lugnuts, the High-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, in the annual Crosstown Showdown exhibition game, on Wednesday, April 1.
The 2026 Big Ten Tournament returns to Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska, May 19-24.
The NCAA Regional dates are May 29-31, while the NCAA Super Regionals are June 5-7, with the College World Series slated for June 12-20 at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha.
Potential Big Ten Network broadcasts will be announced at a later date, and all games, dates and times are subject to change.
