Michigan State Falls Short Against Wisconsin in Big Ten Tournament Semifinals, 77-74

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Top-seeded Michigan State fought back from a second-half deficit and had chances down the stretch but fell short in the Big Ten Tournament Semifinals, losing to fifth-seeded Wisconsin, 77-74, on Saturday afternoon at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Freshman guard Jase Richardson scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead three players in double figures for the Spartans.
Redshirt freshman guard Jeremy Fears Jr. tied his career-high with 14 points, handed out a team-best six assists and grabbed three rebounds, junior guard Tre Holloman added 10 points, two rebounds and two assists and junior center Carson Cooper chipped in eight points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
