
Men’s Golf in Fourth Place at Johnnie-O at Sea Island

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's golf team is in fourth place among 13 teams after the first day of play at third annual Johnnie-O at Sea Island, being played at the Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Ga.
Teams were scheduled to play 36 holes and two rounds on Monday, but inclement weather in the area forced the teams to play just 12 holes.
Michigan State is in fourth place at 6-over par.
Marquette leads the field at 1-under par, with Nebraska in second place at 1-over par and Kansas is in third place at 4-over par.
Sophomores Lorenzo Pinili and Lucas Acevedo were tied for 13th place at 1-over par, while junior Caleb Bond and freshman Juan Velasquez are tied for 26th place at 2-over par.
Freshman Drew Miller is in 54th place at 4-over par and classmate Julian Menser, playing as an individual, is in 59th place at 5-over par.
