
Elle Beaufait Named Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State gymnastics junior Elle Beaufait was named Big Ten Gymnastics Event Specialist of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.Â
The Columbus, Michigan native earns her first-career Big Ten Weekly award with Tuesday's announcement. She is the second Spartan this season to win the award, following three selections for junior teammate Sage Kellerman, and the fourth MSU gymnast to collect a Big Ten weekly honor overall in 2025. Beaufait, Kellerman, junior Nikki Smith and senior Gabrielle Stephen combined for eight overall selections for the Spartans this season.Â
Beaufait scored a career-high 9.950 competing in the anchor spot on floor for the first time in her career in MSU's 197.375-192.550 win over Bowling Green last weekend. Her 9.950 is the highest floor score by a Spartan this season and sits in a tie for the fifth-best score in the Big Ten in 2025. As a team, MSU scored a 49.475 on the event, which was the Spartans' second-highest score on the event this season.Â

MSU travels to Ann Arbor, Michigan to compete in the third session of the Big Ten Championships on Saturday, March 22 at 5 p.m. MSU will compete against No. 1-seeded UCLA, No. 3 Minnesota and No. 4 Michigan on the Big Ten Network.Â
