
Men’s Golf Finishes Second Round at NCAA Tallahassee Regional

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's golf team shot a 13-over par 301 in the second round and is 12th place among 14 teams after the second day of play at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional, being played at the Seminole Legacy Golf Course in Tallahassee, Fla.
The three-day, 54-hole tournament concludes on Tuesday, May 14. The top five teams in the regional advance to next week's NCAA Championships.
Host Florida State posted the best team round for the second-straight day and leads the field at 21-under par 555 (274-281). Ole Miss is in second place at 7-under par 569, Ole Miss is in third place at 6-under par 570, New Mexico is fourth (2-under par 574) and Augusta University rounds out the top-five teams (1-under par 575).
Michigan State is in 12th place at 17-over par 593 (292-301).
Junior Caleb Bond shot a 4-over par 76 in the second round and leads the Spartans at 2-over par 146 (70-76) and is tied for 28th place.
Sophomore Lorenzo Pinili had the best round of the day for MSU – a 2-over par 74 – and is tied for 42nd place at 4-over par 148 (74-74).
Freshman Drew Miller shot a 3-over par 75 on Tuesday and is tied for 48th place at 5-over par 149 (74-75) and classmate Julian Menser is tied for 50th place 6-over par 150 (74-76).
Sophomore Lucas Acevedo is tied for 63rd place at 11-over par 155 (76-79).
The Spartans are making their fourth-straight appearance in an NCAA Regional and the eighth in the last nine years. Michigan State is seeded No. 10 in the 14-team field.
