Four Spartan Women’s Tennis Players Earn CSC Academic All-District Accolades

Morais, Purser, Stasny and Tsitavets garner recognition for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Four Michigan State women's tennis players were named Academic All-District®, as selected by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
Juniors Matilde Morais and Issey Purser, along with sophomores Natalie Stasny and Hanna Tsitavets were the four Spartans recognized.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Morais, a native of Cascais, Portugal, has a 4.0 GPA majoring in advertising management. On the court, she earning the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for the 2024-25 season. The award is given to student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior, while also excelling in their academics and displaying good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.
Morais has displayed her genuine character on and off the court, continuously showing up and supporting her teammates and others. She posted 10 singles wins on the season, including seven in dual play.
Purser, a native of Ascot, United Kingdom, has a 3.725 GPA as a finance major. She posted nine overall singles wins, including five during dual action.
Stasny is a native of Woodbridge, Illinois, has a 4.0 GPA as a human biology major. On the court, Stasny notched seven singles wins, including three in dual play.
Tsitavets, a Minsk, Belarus native, has a 3.9 GPA majoring in criminal justice. She posted nine singles wins, with eight of them coming in dual matches.
The Spartan women's tennis team finished with a 13-11 overall record, going 5-8 in Big Ten play, with four of those being upset wins over ranked opponents, with three of the four ranked in the Top 50.
