East Lansing, Mich. -- Michigan State head coach Jeff Hosler has announced the 2025 women's soccer schedule, which begins in early August as MSU looks to challenge for a third Big Ten title in four seasons.Â
Â
The Spartans claimed Big Ten regular-season titles in 2022 and 2023, and advanced to the Sweet 16 in both 2023 and 2024. MSU returns six starters and 19 letterwinners in 2025, and welcomes 11 new players to bolster the corps of veterans.
Â
The Spartan schedule features 18 games (plus a home exhibition), 11 home dates, and nine games against opponents who appeared in the final United Soccer Coaches top 25 poll last December. MSU will take the field against nine teams which qualified for the NCAA Tournament a year ago, including Notre Dame (No. 6 in the final poll) and Colorado not only qualified for the tournament, but the unseeded Buffs reached the second round and the Irish advanced to the final eight. Of the nine B1G squads that made the NCAA Tournament field a year ago (including MSU), eight won at least one game, six advanced into the round of 16 and two into the quarterfinals.Â
Â
A preseason exhibition against TCU opens the slate on Saturday Aug. 9, which gives MSU a tune-up prior to its first road trip of the year to Boulder to take on Colorado on Thursday, Aug. 14 in the official season opener for both teams. MSU begins a four-game homestand on Sunday, Aug. 17 against Dayton, in which MSU will also host NC State (Aug. 21), Milwaukee (Aug. 24) and Buffalo (Aug. 28). The month concludes with a trip to Cincinnati to tangle with Xavier (Aug. 31).Â
Â
A showdown with Notre Dame at DeMartin Stadium starts the September slate on Thursday, Sept. 4, and the Spartans will open the Big Ten schedule on the road at Rutgers a week later (Friday, Sept. 12). The Spartans welcome UCLA (Sept. 18) and defending Big Ten champion USC (Sept. 21) to East Lansing to open the home portion of the B1G gauntlet.   The final weekend of September sends the Spartans to Minnesota (Sept. 25) and Wisconsin (Sept. 28) for one of only two back-to-back road games for the team this season.Â
Â
October opens with a rare Saturday tilt against Ohio State (Oct. 4) before MSU has its showdown with in-state rival Michigan in Ann Arbor on Oct. 9.  On Oct. 12, MSU will play at Iowa before returning to its home facility to host Illinois (Oct. 16) and Indiana (Oct. 19). The regular season wraps with a road game at Nebraska on Oct. 26.Â

Season tickets are on sale now online through the Spartan Ticket Office   or by calling 517-355-1610. The cost is $80 for an 11-game home schedule.Â
