Bonczewski Earns Academic All-District Honors

Senior Jillian Bonczewski (Larksville, Pa.) has been named to the  2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large team, as announced on Tuesday by College Sports Communicators.

Part of the Academic All-America program, the All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. Â To qualify, the nominees must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution.

Bonczewski, who boasts a perfect 4.0 grade point average as an elementary education major, has led the Spartans both on the field and set a shining example in the classroom. In addition to the CSC Academic All-District kudos, she is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and in all four seasons, has been named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad honors as well as earning Scholar of Distinction kudos. Starting all 18 games for MSU, she had single-season career best with eight points and at the end of the season, was voted as the team's Janine Ackerman Award recipient, acknowledging leadership, teamwork and character. She received the President's Award at MSU's academic gala this spring, sharing the top senior women's GPA.Â
