East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's and women's golf teams will compete in the 2025 St Andrews Links Collegiate at the historic Old and Jubilee Courses in St Andrews, Scotland, on Oct. 13-15, Golf Channel and St Andrews Links Trust announced.
The Spartans will be joined in the four-school field by Cal, Princeton and the University of St Andrews. It marks the first appearances in the event for all three American schools, and the second appearance for the hometown University of St Andrews.
"This is a great honor for both of our programs," MSU men's head coach Casey Lubahn said. "In just two years, the St Andrews Links Collegiate has become one of the go-to events in our game. I've told our guys constantly that you when you're playing college golf, you want to have memory-makers that you will remember for the rest of your life and getting to play at St Andrews will rank right up at the top."
The three-day event will feature men's and women's teams from all four universities, with two days of stroke play on the Jubilee Course followed by a day of medal match play on the Old Course at St Andrews.
"Our team is very excited to represent Michigan State golf and our University at this once-in-a-lifetime event," MSU women's head coach Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll said. "The opportunity to bring our team to the birthplace of golf and to play internationally is a trip we will always remember. The standard that has been set in just two years for this event is off the chart and we are honored that our programs have been invited and will get a chance to bring the Spartans to Scotland."
Golf Channel will present live coverage of the St Andrews Links Collegiate in the United States beginning each morning at 6 a.m. PT, with encores airing at 10 a.m. PT.
This is the third edition of the St Andrews Links Collegiate following its debut in 2023. Last year, Northwestern won the men's team title and Zach Pollo of Arizona won the individual men's competition, while Arizona won the women's team title and Ashley Yun of Northwestern won the individual women's competition.
