Fralick Adds Transfer Sara Sambolic to MSU Women’s Basketball Roster

The Spartans will add seven new players next season.
EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State head women's basketball coach Robyn Fralick announced the addition of Sara Sambolic to the 2025-26 roster.
"We are really excited about Sara joining our program," Fralick said. "She has competed at a very high level with her national team and will bring lots of experience and maturity to our team. Her feel for the game and competitive motor will be great additions. We are looking forward to Sara being in a Spartan uniform."
The native of Slovenia has made significant strides on the international stage. The point guard has built an impressive resume with her performances at the Youth EuroBasket and is now a member of the Slovenian senior national team. The 5-7 guard demonstrates remarkable composure, court vision and playmaking abilities. She has experience internationally as a member of U18 and U20 Slovenian national team. She has earned three gold medals with Slovenia, including a gold with the U20 team at FIBA Eurobasket division B.
Sambolic attended the University of Ljubljana for the past two seasons.
Achievements:
2025 - participant at FIBA Eurobasket with the senior national team
2023 - Gold medal with U20 national team at FIBA Eurobasket division B
2022 - Gold medal with U18 national team at FIBA Eurobasket division B
2021 - Gold medal at FIBA U18 Women's European Challenger
Sambolic is one of four transfers along with guard Jalyn Brown (Baltimore, Md./Arizona State), forward Marah Dykstra (Vancouver, Canada/Montana State) and guard Rashunda "Spider" Jones (South Bend, Indiana/Purdue),
These four transfers join three incoming Spartan freshmen: Jordan Ode (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove High School), Anna Terrian (Pewaukee,Wis./Pewaukee High School) and Amy Terrian (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee High School).
