
Spartans Earn Academic Recognition Honor from Golf Coaches Association

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's golf team was one of 74 Division I schools nationally recognized with a Presidents Special Recognition by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Tuesday afternoon.
The GCAA recognized 167 Division I teams with the Team Academic Award for grade-point averages above 3.0 and the Spartans were among a smaller group of 74 to earn the Presidents Special Recognition for having an average team GPA of 3.5 or above.
Michigan State was just one of four Big Ten schools to earn the Presidents Special Recognition from the GCAA.
Three Spartans were named to the GCAA All-America Scholar Team last week, rising junior Lucas Acevedo, rising senior Caleb Bond and rising junior Lorenzo Pinili.
