EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State hockey sophomore forward Anthony Romani was named Big Ten Second Star of the Week on Tuesday, marking the second weekly conference honor of his career.
It's the second conference honor of the season for Michigan State, following freshman goaltender Joshua Ravensbergen's Third Star of the Week honor on October 20.
Last weekend in Austin, Texas, Romani scored two of his team-leading seven goals to lead Michigan State to a 5-3 victory over then No. 8-ranked North Dakota at the 2026 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame game.
Romani scored the game's opening goal in the second period, a one-timer from the left dot on the Spartan power play. He later broke a 2-2 tie in the third period when a defensive breakdown by North Dakota left him wide open on the right dot, sending a shot high glove side for his second goal of the evening.
Michigan State is back in action this weekend, welcoming No. 13-ranked Boston University to Ron Mason Rink at Munn Ice Arena for a two-game series on November 6-7. Both games will stream on B1G+. Single game tickets are on sale now.

Like we said, can't give Anthony Romani this much space! His seventh of the year makes it 3-2. https://t.co/E4Sc8cwJsv
