Spartan Baseball Announces Addition To Signing Class

Michigan State adds player for 2027 roster.
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State baseball head coach Jake Boss Jr., announced an additional member of MSU's 2025-26 signing class, signing another future Spartan for the 2027 roster.
After the Spartans previously signed 12 players from the high school ranks, the recent signing of Jordan Kuhnau (pronounced COO-now) (OF/1B • Garfield, Minn. • Alexandria Area HS/Hutchinson CC), is the second junior college transfer signing, for 14 total Spartan signees.
Kuhnau joins the previous junior college signee, Maverick Williamson (INF • Salina, Okla. • Salina HS/Neosho County CC), and the previous 12 high school players in the 2025 Spartan signing class: Zane Caves (LHP • Minooka, Ill. / Minooka HS), Maddux Kipling (RHP • Spring Lake, Mich. / Spring Lake HS), Brayden Loquasto ("Low-Quas-Toe") (LHP • Roswell, Ga. / Blessed Trinity HS), Jack Manzella (RHP • Fraser, Mich. / Fraser HS), Cole Novara ("Nuh-Varra") (OF • Dexter, Mich. / Dexter HS), Cam Pallo ("Pal-low") (RHP • Ada, Mich. / Forest Hills Eastern HS), Paddy Roth (RHP • Chicago, Ill. / Saint Patrick HS ), Xan Scheinfield ("Zan Shine-feld") (LHP • Franklin, Mich. / Wylie E. Was a two-time All-State selection, as well as a two-time All-Conference accolades recipient ... Selected to play for the North Team at the Minnesota All-Star Series ... Was team captain as a senior ... Also played American Legion with Alexandria Post 87... In two seasons between high school and American Legion ball, played 97 games and combined for 136 hits, 95 RBI and 17 HR ... Ranked as the No. 3 3B/SS and the No. 62 overall player in the state of Minnesota by Prep Baseball Report ... Played summer league with the Willmar Stingers of the Northwoods League for two summers.
