The Spartans slide to 8-9 overall and 1-6 in Big Ten Conference action after the Badger defeat.

The Badgers battled back at No. 2 doubles with Maria Sholokhova and Kaede Usui versus Spartans redshirt-junior Oriana Parkins-Godwin and senior Issey Purser, securing a 6-4 triumph over the MSU duo.
