Taylor Kehoe Ties for 23rd Place at NCAA Championships

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State senior women's golfer Taylor Kehoe shot a 2-over par 74 in the final round of stroke play to finish in a tie for 23rd place individually at the NCAA National Championships, played at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
The 30-team field was cut to the top-15 teams and nine individuals (not on advancing teams) after three rounds of stroke play were completed on Sunday.
Kehoe was part of those individuals who advanced with a chance to play for the national title.
She finished in a tie for 23rd place overall at 1-over par 289 (70-73-72-74).
The tie for 23rd place was the best finish for an MSU golfer at the NCAA Championships since Christine Meier tied for sixth place in 2013.
This was the third time in the last four years a Spartan golfer has advanced to play in the final round of stroke play, joining Katie Lu (2023, 2024) and Leila Raines (2024).
Kehoe completed a spectacular two-year career at Michigan State, carrying a team-leading 72.24 scoring average this year that ranks as the fifth-best single-season in program history.
She finishes her two-year career as the all-time leader in scoring average at Michigan State with a 72.33 mark over 67 rounds (minimum 60 rounds played).
After finishing in a tie for fourth place at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional last week, the Spartans were making their fourth-straight NCAA Championships appearance, the fifth in the last six years and the 16th under Head Coach Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll.
Michigan State played in the NCAA Championships for the 18th time in program history. The Spartans finished with a three-day total of 31-over par 895 (298-297-300).
