Men’s Basketball Team Earns NABC Team Academic Excellence Award

Four Spartans Names to NABC Honors Court
East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's basketball team was recognized with a Team Academic Excellence Award and four members of the team were selected to the Honor Court by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) on Wednesday afternoon.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
The Spartans who earned spots on the NABC Honors Court were senior center Carson Cooper (management), senior guard Trey Fort (sport coaching, leadership and management), senior guard Nick Sanders (accounting) and graduate guard Denham Wojcik (finance).
Michigan State finished the 2025-26 season with a 27-8 overall record, including a 15-5 record in the Big Ten Conference. The Spartans earned a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the 17th time under Head Coach Tom Izzo.
