Michigan State to Play at Marquette in Exhibition Game

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's basketball team will play an exhibition game at Marquette University on Sunday, Oct. 25 at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wis.
The game will tip off at 1 p.m. (ET) and broadcast information will be released at a later date.
This is the start of a two-year home-and-home, with Marquette planning a trip to the Breslin Center for an exhibition in 2027-28.
The teams have met 56 times during the regular season, with Michigan State leading the head-to-head series, 33-23 all-time. The Spartans are 20-9 at home against the Eagles, 9-14 on the road and 4-0 on neutral floors.
This will be the first meeting between the teams since a 69-60 Spartans win on March 19, 2023 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, advancing MSU to the Sweet Sixteen.
Michigan State Head Coach Tom Izzo and Marquette Head Coach Shaka Smart have guided their teams in two previous meetings, with the Spartans winning both games. The Spartans beat the Eagles in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, 69-60, and the first meeting was a 78-68 MSU win over Smart's Texas team on Nov. 23, 2018 in the championship game of the Las Vegas Invitational.
Michigan State finished the 2025-26 season with a 27-8 overall record, including a 15-5 record in the Big Ten Conference. The Spartans earned a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the 17th time under Head Coach Tom Izzo.
