Finished with a 4-4 singles record and 7-4 doubles record ... Big Ten Distinguished Scholar ... Academic All-Big Ten ... ITA Scholar-Athlete Team.
Spring 2019: Competed in both singles and doubles vs. San Diego… Paired with Julia Fenn to defeat a duo from Wright State.
Fall 2018: Singles – Had a record of 4-3 in singles play… Competed in the qualifying round of the ITA Midwest Regional Championships. Doubles – Compiled a 5-2 doubles record… Paired with Samantha Memije and Mary Lewis to go 3-0 at the Harvard Invite.
2017-18: Freshman
Finished with a 1-1 singles record and 3-1 doubles record.
Spring 2018: Did not compete.
Fall 2017: Singles – Had a record of 1-2 in singles play… Competed at the 2017 ITA Division I Women’s Midwest Regional Championship, with a win over Kara Hall of Michigan. Doubles - Compiled a 3-1 record in doubles with partner Julia Fenn, with wins coming over duos from University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago State and Lewis University at the Wildcat Invite.
Prior to MSU: Four-year letterwinner in tennis and golf at H.H. Dow High School… Named team captain for tennis her senior season… Was a 2017 high school All-American selection, first team All-State and first team All-Conference… Awarded the Michigan High School Athletic Association Scholar Athlete Award and named the Detroit News Outstanding Graduate in Athletics… Was a 2017 National Merit Scholar… Had a record of 26-2 during her freshman season and was an Individual Singles State Finalist… Posted a record of 17-0 during her junior season and named the Individual Singles State Champion at No. 2 singles… Had an 18-0 record her senior season and named Individual Doubles State Champion… Contributed to her team winning back-to-back Division I Team State Championships and three Team Regional Championships… Was the Individual Regional Champion for all four seasons… Competed in the 2015 and 2016 Women’s Pro Circuit 100k Dow Corning Tennis Classic… Graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Personal: Daughter of Mike and Christi Szabo… Older brother Michael plays tennis at Hillsdale College (2016-present) and has a twin brother Chris… Plans to major in Neuroscience/Pre-medicine.
