Student-Athlete Support Services To Hold Fifth Annual Spartan Academic Gala
SASS to honor 217 student athletes for outstanding academic accomplishments.

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State University's Student-Athlete Support Services (SASS) will hold its fifth annual Spartan Academic Excellence Gala this Sunday, April 21 at 6 p.m., in the Kellogg Center. SASS will recognize 217 student-athletes for their outstanding academic accomplishments. Members of the athletic and academic communities will be in attendance. The keynote speaker will be MSU outgoing athletic director, Dr. Clarence Underwood. Local physician Tony Briningstool, a former MSU football player from 1988-91, will be honored as the scholar-athlete alumnus.
