List Of Former Student-Athletes Growing Fast

East Lansing, Mich. - The list of former female student-athletes who have contacted the MSU Department of Athletics regarding next year's Varsity Letterwinner Recognition banquet continues to grow. Through mid-June upwards of 120 former student-athletes had contacted MSU. The names are being put into a database for the event.
A grassroots committee made up of former student-athletes and MSU administrators is working on identifying former athletes who would qualify for next year's recognition. Information regarding the event has appeared in newspapers across the state of Michigan and will also appear in the MSU Alumni Magazine, but help in spreading the word would be greatly appreciated.
We encourage you to talk with former teammates who might not be aware of the event and have them contact the athletics department with updated mailing information. Once an accurate database is established, a mailing with details of the event will be sent out.
If you know the whereabouts of former teammates or know of someone who may qualify for the event, please forward the information (name, including maiden name, mailing address, sport(s) and years of participation) to varsity2@msu.edu or call (517) 353-8849.
