Brian Bratta was hired as the Michigan State University Clinical Coordinator for Undergraduate Athletic Training Education in the fall of 2007, working directly with Dr. Tracey Covassin with the undergraduate education, placement, and the athletic training student's clinical experiences.
Presently, Bratta offers year-round coverage directly with Michigan State University's baseball team. He also oversees the clinical supervision of men's soccer, dance and cheerleading, and assists with the oversight of Jenison Field House Athletic Training Room.
Bratta completed his undergraduate degree from Augustana College with a BA in biology and a minor in sports medicine in 2002. He completed his master's degree from Michigan State University in 2004 in conjunction with his clinical graduate assistant assignment at Lansing Everett High School.
Following his graduate work, he worked as a Sports Medicine Team Leader at Ingham Regional Medical Center for two years, coordinating and administering community outreach athletic training care.
For the past four years, Bratta has volunteered with the U.S. Olympic Committee. He has been an athletic trainer for the men's field hockey World Cup in Poznan, Poland, in February 2011 and the Paralympic Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, in November 2011. Bratta served on the Medical Staff for the Paralympic Summer Games in London in 2012.
Bratta completed his PhD in Athletic Training from Michigan State University in Spring 2014. His family includes his wife Anna and daughter Teagan.
