Played defensive back and wide receiver for Coach Eric Schugars at Traverse City Central High School . . . chosen to the Traverse City Record Eagle Dream Team as a defensive back . . . named to the Detroit Free Press Division 2 All-State Team . . . second-team all-state honoree by The Associated Press . . . honorable mention all-state selection by The Detroit News . . . recorded 66 tackles, seven interceptions and 3.5 tackles for loss as a senior to help the Trojans win their first district title in school history and reach the Division 2 regional finals . . . returned two interceptions for touchdowns and also had an 83-yard kick return for a score . . . had 391 receiving yards and two TDs as a receiver . . . also helped the Trojans to a berth in the state playoffs as a junior . . . son of Adam Crocker and Maryscott O'Connor . . . plans to major in pre-med.

Dantonio on O'Connor: "Terry is a big, athletic player with tremendous ball skills. He's also a very physical guy who can run. He was a defensive back in high school, but he's 210 pounds, so we're looking at him more as an outside linebacker here. He has the size and length to play either outside linebacker or tight end."
