Michigan State Softball Beats Purdue at Big Ten Tournament
IOWA CITY, Iowa - Michigan State's softball team scored four runs on only five hits to defeat Purdue 4-2 in Big Ten Tournament play Saturday.
Spartan right fielder Stefanie Noffsinger had two hits, including a grand-slam home run in the fourth inning.
Spartan Stacey Smith pitched all seven innings, allowing only six hits and striking out four.
Purdue center fielder Jenny Schoen had two hits, scoring the Boilermakers' only two runs of the game.
