Parking and traffic
MSU has abundant parking available on football game days. The university provides a variety of parking options designed to enhance your game day experience. All parking locations are open at 7 a.m. for games that kick off before 6 p.m., and 11 a.m. for kickoffs at or after 6 p.m. The parking time for the 2025 season opener vs. Western Michigan (Friday, Aug. 29 starts at 11 a.m. for donor lots 56, 61, 62, 79, and 124. All other lots will open at 2 p.m.
 All fans are encouraged not to come before these times as traffic lineups will not be permitted.
Public game day parking is available for $40. Lot 89 (commuter lot)/MSU Pavilion parking is $20 and shuttle starts two hours prior to game and returns a reasonable amount of time after the game. Charter bus ($100) and RV ($60) parking are available at Lot 203(MSU Pavilion) on a first-come, first served basis. Season priority parking permits are available to Spartan Fund donors. Tailgating is permitted in all public parking areas on campus.

Priority parking permit
Season priority parking permits are available to Spartan Fund Donors. This is the best method to assure a premium parking location. For information on season permits for priority parking areas, please contact the Spartan Fund office at (517) 432-4610.
Accessible parking
Accessible parking is available in Lot 48, Natural Resource Building. Enter from Trowbridge extension off of Red Cedar or Farm Lane. Parking in this area includes shuttle transport to the northeast corner of Spartan Stadium. The shuttle starts two hours prior to kickoff and returns for a reasonable amount of time after the game. The shuttle bus returning to accessible parking is accessed from the northeast stadium gates.
RV parking
Recreational vehicle parking is available in lot 203 south of main campus. Cost is $60 per RV. Charter bus parking is $100. A shuttle to and from Spartan Stadium will be available.
Shuttle parking
Shuttle bus service is available from Lot 89 at the corner of Mt. Hope Road and Farm Lane and also from the MSU Pavilion. The shuttle starts two hours prior to kickoff and returns for a reasonable amount of time after the game. Parking in lot 89/MSU Pavilion is $20 per game. The shuttle bus service is free to campus.
