2020-21 Signing Day: Lauren Walker
Lauren Walker is a 6-2 forward who plays for head coach Derrick DeWitt at Marietta High School. As a junior, she averaged 14.3 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. Walker also added 15 double-doubles in 28 games last season. She captured Georgia High School Association and Atlanta Journal-Constitution All-State honors after the 2019-20 season. Walker earned All-Conference honors three-straight seasons, along with capturing AJC All-State accolades last season. She plays AAU for Hoop Dreams and was coached by Dorian Williams.
She is the daughter of Brian and Stefanie Walker. Her father played basketball at Lee University.

“We love Lauren’s versatility and size as a face up 4 or a big guard in our system. She can shoot the ball from the arc extremely well and has the ability to defensive rebound and push the ball up the floor on our break,” Merchant said. “Her work ethic is truly impressive, and we are excited to have her become part of the Spartan family.”
