Prior to Johnstone’s stint with Kenyon, she served as assistant coach for Ohio Wesleyan (2006-08) helping the team to a 10-7 record in 2007, its best finish in eight years.
The Dallas, Pa., native started her collegiate coaching career in the Ivy League, serving as an assistant coach at both Brown (2004-06) and Cornell (2003-04). In her final year with Brown, she helped guide the team to a 9-7 record with three All-Ivy League selections.
In addition to her collegiate experience, Johnstone has had a variety of coaching roles at the amateur level, highlighted by coaching the U.S. Field Hockey Team at the 2017 and 2018 AAU Junior Olympic Games.
