2019: Named to Academic All-Big Ten during the spring season … Competed on the second varsity four at the Ivy League-Big Ten Double Dual and finished with times of 7:50.7 and 8:25.13 … Competed on the first varsity four for the last five regattas of the season … … Finished with times of 7:35.55 and 7:56.82 at the Big Ten Double Dual … Took third at the Dale England Cup with a time of 8:59.87 … Took second in the “B” final at the Lake Wheeler Invite with a time of 7:32.75 to defeat Navy … Finished behind Michigan and Louisville on May 5 with a time of 7:31.24 … Took eighth at the Big Ten Championships with a time of 7:46.879.
2018: Academic All-Big Ten … Started the season in the second varsity four at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational, (3/17-18), defeating boats from Miami, Tulsa, and Tennessee … Edged by Harvard/Radcliffe and fell to Yale in the Big Ten/Ivy League Double Dual in the second varsity four (3/24) … Racing in the second varsity four at Ohio State (3/31), fell to both Michigan and the host Buckeyes … Picked up a pair of wins at the Big Ten Double Dual (4/6), defeating both Iowa and Indiana by open water in the third varsity four … At the Big Ten/ACC Challenge in the third varsity four (4/21), fell to both Ohio State and Notre Dame … Raced to a bronze-medal finish at the Big Ten Championships in the third varsity four (5/12), behind Ohio State and Michigan.
2017: A 2017 Academic All-Big Ten Selection ... Opened the season with strong performances at the Oak Ridge Cardinal in the novice eight, finishing a half-length behind Virginia in a time of 6:52.551 and defeating Notre Dame and West Virginia in the morning session and posting a heat victory in a time 6:58.975 with a 45-second margin over the Mountaineers and Tennessee in the afternoon (3/11) ... On Sunday at Oak Ridge (3/12), was less than a second off the pace of first-place Virginia (6:48.318) and defeated the Spartan 2N8 and Tennessee by several lengths of open water ... Rowed in a pair of novice eight races at Michigan (3/25), opening the day by finishing ahead of the host Wolverines and visiting Radcliffe in a time of 7:07.53, more than 11 seconds ahead of UM and 17 in front of Radcliffe ... Was second to Yale in the evening session, nine seconds behind the Bulldogs but still six seats ahead of Michigan in a time of 7:02.73 ... In a Big Ten Double Dual at Indiana (4/1) in the novice eight, posted a pair of commanding open-water victories, defeating the Hawkeyes by more than 26 seconds in a time of 6:44.62 before finishing 23 seconds ahead of second-place Kansas and more than 27 seconds over Indiana (6:54.80) ... Hosting a Big Ten Double Dual on Lake Ovid (4/8), twice raced in three- boat affairs against No. 11 Wisconsin and No. 3 Michigan; in the morning, finished third (7:23.34) - just six-tenths back of second-place Michigan (7:22.74) -- and in the afternoon, MSU was third in a time of 7:26.75, just under six seconds behind the Wolverines (7:21.32) and almost 15 behind Wisconsin (7.11.85) ... In the novice eight, raced twice on the Charles River in Cambridge, Mass. (4/22-23) against several Boston-area crews. In the Saturday race, posted a time of 7:28.862, bested by Northeastern (7:13.269) but holding an open-water lead at the finish over UMass (7:52.381). The Spartans and Huskies were in a dogfight as they made their way down the course, but the Spartans caught a crab ... Fell to Radcliffe (7:04.3) in the Sunday race, with MSU second in 7:13.0. Boston College had two entries in the event, which finished in 7:27.2 and 7:31.7... Had a rough day in the novice eight at the Big Ten Championships (5/14), as the Spartans caught an ejection crab in the final 500 that dictated an eighth-place finish.
Prior to MSU: Attended Jackson College for two years and Coldwater High School in Coldwater, Michigan... Played soccer for the Jackson College Women's Soccer team... In high school she was a four time letterwinner in gymnastics and soccer... Qualified for regionals in gymnastics all four years... All-Conference in gymnastics her senior year and All-Region her sophomore year.
Personal: Born August 30, 1996 in Coldwater, Michigan... Daughter of Diane Harmon and the late Thomas Harmon... Sister to Shannon, Geoff, Jon and Andrea... Majoring in world politics and aspires to be an immigration attorney.
