Cursty Jackson

Cursty Jackson enters her first season as an assistant coach for Michigan State volleyball in 2025.

Bringing national championship experience to East Lansing, Jackson most recently served as head coach for the 18 Adidas team at Austin Performance Volleyball. In 2023, Jackson was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Texas where she assisted the Longhorns in securing the 2023 NCAA Championship. Her lone recruiting class at Texas ranked as the best in the country.

Prior to her time in Austin, Jackson was the defensive coordinator at UNLV where they won the 2021 National Invitational Volleyball Championship. In 2022 she contributed to a third-place finish in the Big West at Long Beach State where she acted as the defensive coordinator and lead recruiter.

Outside of coaching, Jackson served on the boards of two prominent professional leagues in the United State, League One Volleyball (LOVB) and Athletes Unlimited, where her contributions helped shape the direction of the sport.

Her coaching journey also includes significant roles at the national level where she was an assistant coach for the US Senior National Team in 2023, contributing to a gold medal at the NORCECA Final Six and silver at the Pan American Cup. Jackson aided the USA U19 team to a gold medal at the U19 World Championship qualifier.

Since 2020, Jackson has served as a USA Volleyball National Training Development coach, focusing on nurturing emerging talent withing the national team program.

Her playing career includes representing Team USA for four years, competing overseas for eight seasons across leagues in France, Azerbaijan, Germany, Turkey and Japan. In 2015 she helped Team USA to gold at the Pan American Cup, the FIVB World Grand Prix and the Pan American Games.

Jackson began her collegiate career at UNLV where she was named Mountain West Freshman of the Year and First Team All-Mountain West as a sophomore. Her success continued at Arizona where she earned two First Team All-PAC 12 honors.

Jackson earned her bachelor's degree in social behavior and human understanding from Arizona in 2012. She is married to former Olympic middle blocker, Kevin Le Roux, who suited up for the French National Team over 200 times and had a 15-year professional volleyball career. The two have one son, Dwayne.
