Grant Klaver is in his first season as the Special Assistant to the Head Coach for the Michigan State football program. He oversees all of the administrative duties for MSU head coach Mel Tucker and coordinates Tucker’s daily schedule.

Klaver attended and played football at the University of Mount Union before transferring to Benedictine University where he earned his undergraduate degree in business administration while playing football. Following graduation, he worked for the football program at Northwestern as he completed his master’s degree in sports administration.

Klaver, who is from Okemos, Michigan, worked a season-long operations internship with the Buffalo Bills in 2021 before returning to mid-Michigan to work at MSU on the recruiting staff in February 2022.
