Professional Intern, Athletic Performance

Jessica Roland was hired as a professional intern with Michigan State Athletic Performance in August of 2025. She works primarily with Women's Cheer & Dance.

Prior to Michigan State, Roland began her career as an intern with Central Michigan University strength & conditioning in June of 2022. During her time there she worked primarily with football and was moved into a student assistant position for the 2022-23 football season. After her internship, Roland served as a graduate assistant with Central Michigan in 2023. In this position, she worked directly with football, women's gymnastics and field hockey while assisting with other Olympic sports. In-between her time as an intern and graduate assistant, Roland interned with the University of Cincinnati football strength and conditioning program during the summer of 2023.

Roland earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science from Central Michigan in 2023. She is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS).
