Nick Farrell

Nick Farrell is in his second season as the Head Football Performance Dietitian for the Michigan State football program. Farrell oversees all performance nutrition aspects for the football program.
He joined MSU in July 2024 coming most recently from Washington where he was the Director of Football Nutrition.
Prior to Washington, Farrell served as the Head Performance Dietitian for football at Oregon State under head coach Jonathan Smith from 2022-24.
Before working at Oregon State, Farrell was a clinical dietitian at the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in 2021 and was a football nutrition assistant at Notre Dame in 2020.
Farrell is originally from Williamston, Michigan. He played college football at Southern Utah from 2008-11 as an outside linebacker before continuing a career as a strength and conditioning coach, and then eventually as a performance dietitian.
Farrell earned his bachelor of science degree in exercise science in 2011 and his master of science degree in 2016 in human performance, both from Southern Utah. He also has a master of science in nutrition from Logan University (2018) and a bachelor of science degree in dietetics from Alabama (2020).
Farrell is a registered dietitian (CDR) and also a certified strength and conditioning specialist (NSCA).
