Sean Carey joined the MSU Athletic Department in July 2019 after having previously worked at MSU since 2006, where he spent five years in the Cashier's Office and eight years in the Office of Financial Analysis and Reporting.

Carey's main responsibilities include fiscal review of sports accounts for men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming, women's field hockey, and women's rowing, as well the Spartan Ticket Office. Carey also assists with preparation of year-end financial statements.

Carey earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Management from MSU in 2002. Sean and his wife, Katie, their two children, Brynn and Declan, and yellow labrador, Winnie, reside in East Lansing.
