Coach Munz is in her 16th year as a full-time strength coach at MSU, is in her 2nd year as the Director of Sport Science for Olympic Sports. In addition to her duties with Sport Science, Munz currently directs the yearly training program for the MSU field hockey and baseball teams
Prior to her current role, Munz was the Director of Athletic Performance for the Olympic sports for three years. Within this role, Molli oversaw the daily operations of the Jenison weight room and lead a staff of seven strength coaches. Combined, her staff worked with 17 of Michigan State’s 21 varsity programs.Â
In May 2020, Munz was named a “Master Strength & Conditioning Coach” by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Associated (CSCCa), the highest honor given in the strength and conditioning coaching profession. She is also a certified strength and conditioning coach (SCCC) by the CSCCa and is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.Â
 Along with the certifications listed above Molli also has obtained the following certifications: Reflexive Performance Reset Level 1 and Level 2, On-Base University Pitching Certification, Functional Range Conditioning and Functional Range Assessment.In 2002, Munz began her strength and conditioning career as a graduate assistant for Michigan State University and in 2008 she returned as a full-time assistant. When Munz first returned to MSU she worked with our highly competitive and successful men’s soccer team and in 2015, Munz was able to return to training them. In 2018, the men’s soccer program had a historic run to its first College Cup and in 2017 reached the Elite Eight. Back in 2008, the team won the Big Ten Tournament championship as well as the regular season title.
