"I was pleased with the way our players came out and competed in the game today. That was probably our best half of football in the first half. We did a nice job offensively of mixing up the run and pass and we made some big plays. Defensively we played well, again. We got a chance to play a lot of players, which I think is a good thing in terms of them getting experience for the difficult stretch we have coming up. The more players that are ready to play and have the knowledge and experience to contribute in a positive way, the better off we'll be."
"I'm very happy we could win on homecoming. We had a lot of great people around this week, who have done a lot to establish the football tradition here at Michigan State, and we were happy to come out and play well and make all those people happy."
"I think our team has progressed very nicely, and I think one of the things we hadn't done until today is execute on all cylinders."
On Plaxico Burress:
"We were going to keep throwing him the ball. I knew he would make plays and get his confidence back. He caught the ball better in practice this week, and took a better psychological approach to the game in terms of taking away some of the anxiety of trying to do so well. He just had a great day today."
On Michigan:
"I hope we've been in enough big games that we can go through a week of preparation and go out and compete and execute. There are going to be a lot of good players on the field and this is a big game for both teams. We feel fortunate to play them at home and I know our fans will help us emotionally throughout the game. Regardless of the situation, Michigan/Michigan State is a big game. Not just because of the rivalry, but also because of the Big Ten race. That's the way I like it to be. This is as good as it can get if we're both 5-0."
