, Michigan State quarterback Bill Burke?s second quarter 35-yard touchdown pass to Plaxico Burress gave him 43 career touchdown passes, tying him for first place on the MSU career list with Dave Yarema and Ed Smith.
, Linebacker T.J. Turner?s 26-yard fumble return for a touchdown in the second quarter was the fifth defensive touchdown of the season for the MSU defense (3 interceptions, 2 fumbles). Turner also scored on an 88-yard interception return against Purdue. Last season, the Spartan defense scored two touchdowns.
, With three touchdown receptions, wide receiver Plaxico Burress moved into fourth place on the MSU career TD receptions list with 17. , Burress also has nine touchdown receptions on the season, setting the MSU single-season record, a mark he tied last season and shared with Andre Rison (1988) and Bob Carey (1949).
