Michigan State Women's Soccer Tops Eastern Michigan

East Lansing, MI - The Michigan State women's soccer team recorded its second straight win this afternoon with a 5-2 win over Eastern Michigan in a game played at Ypsilanti.
Four different players scored for the MSU squad, now 2-1 this year. Sophomore Gina Dawson (Bloomfield Hills) paced the attack with a pair of goals while sophomore Ann Cieszkowski (Bloomfield Hills), freshman Emily Clarke (Naperville, IL) and senior Beth Merkle (Mission Viejo, CA) accounted for the other MSU goals.
MSU sophomore goalkeeper Sara Kloosterman (Farmington) chalked up three saves while EMU goalie Sarah Willis finished with five saves.
The next action for the MSU women's soccer team will next Friday (Sept. 11) when it plays Pepperdine at Las Vegas, Nevada.
