Rinnan Earns Cross Country Athlete of the Week Honors

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State freshman Lindsay Rinnan (Kingwood, Texas) was named the Big Ten Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week. Rinnan earned the honor by posting her first career victory at the Eastern Michigan Classic. Her time of 19:15 was her second best of the season. This also marks Rinnan's second top-10 finish, after placing 10th at the Running Fit/UDM Invitational on Sept. 12.

Rinnan and the rest of the Spartans will return to action at the Big Ten Championships, Nov. 1, at 11:45 a.m., in Ann Arbor, Mich.
