Gant Named Big Ten Women's Golfer of the Week

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Spartan women's golfer Kasey Gant (Jr., Fort Wayne, Ind.) was named Big Ten Women's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday, April 26. Gant earned medallist honors at the Lady Buckeye Invitational last weekend in Columbus, Ohio. It was her first individual title of the season and the fifth of her career. She shot 75-76-76=227 and her performance helped propel Michigan State to a second-place finish at the tournament.
This weekend the No. 22 ranked Spartans are competing at the Big Ten Championships in Madison, Wis. First and second-round action begins on Friday, April 28, third-round action will take place on Saturday and the final round will be on Sunday.
