East Lansing, Mich. - Michigan State's softball doubleheader against Wisconsin scheduled for noon today at Old College Field has been cancelled because of the cold. The games will not be rescheduled.
Weather forced the cancellation of three of the four Big Ten games MSU was scheduled to play this weekend. The second game of the doubleheader against Minnesota on Friday was called because of rain after the Spartans won game one, 12-11.
The Spartans, who are 25-14 overall and 3-2 in the Big Ten, are idle until April 14 when they host Penn State in a twin bill at 2 p.m. MSU will play Ohio State in single games on April 15 (2 p.m.) and April 16 (1 p.m.).
