Men's Soccer Remains Undefeated With 2-0 Victory

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's soccer team recorded its third victory of the 2000 season, defeating Robert Morris, 2-0, on Friday afternoon in Moon Township, Pa. MSU remains undefeated with an overall record of 3-0 while Robert Morris drops to 1-2 on the season.
Both MSU goals came in the first half of the game. Spartan freshman Craig Hearn (Farmington Hills) scored first at 28:30, off an assist by junior Steve Arce (Windsor, Ont.). It was Hearn's second goal and Acre's third assist of the season. Also scoring a goal for MSU was senior Steve Williford (Livonia), who kicked his first goal of the season at 35:44. Spartan goalkeeper T.J. Lieckfelt (Sr., Sterling Heights) made two saves as MSU out shot Robert Morris 16-6 during the game.
Michigan State looks to extend its winning streak this Sunday, Sept. 10, when the Spartans visit Cleveland State at 1 p.m.
