Fifteen of the 18 teams in the field are ranked in the top 25, including No. 2 Arizona, No. 3 Southern Cal and No. 6 Stanford.
"This is our first tournament of the spring and it will be a great way to measure ourselves against some of the top teams in the country," said MSU head coach Stacy Slobodnik. "With 12 of the 18 teams ranked in the top 20, it will be an extremely competitive competition. We are looking for a solid performance from all five of our players which involves not only hitting good golf shots, but also playing with confidence."
MSU is led by juniors Emily Bastel (Upper Sandusky, Ohio/Upper Sandusky) and Stacy Snider (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grandville) along with senior Kasey Gant (Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger). All three golfers are ranked in the top 100 individually according to golfstat.com with Bastel ranked at No. 61, Snider (No. 90) and Gant (No. 97).
