Kelvin Torbert Undergoes Ankle Surgery

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State sophomore guard Kelvin Torbert (Flint) underwent surgery on his left ankle to remove bone chips on Friday. Dr. Herb Ross performed the surgery. Torbert is expected to miss approximately three weeks while recovering from surgery.
As a freshman, Torbert appeared in 31 games, starting 26. He averaged 8.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. He was also co-recipient of MSU's Best Defensive Player Award.
