Field Hockey Anticipates First-Ever Official NCAA Selection Show

EAST LANSING, Mich. - College Sports Television (www.collegesports.com), which televises more women's sports than any other network, will exclusively present the first-ever NCAA Field Hockey Championship Selection Show Tuesday, November 9, at 7 p.m., live from the CSTV Fieldhouse in New York. The CSTV selection show will also be streamed live online at CollegeSports.com.
College Sports TV's live selection show, hosted by Adam Zucker, will feature the official announcement of the 16-team NCAA Field Hockey Championship field. Zucker and special guests to the show will analyze the brackets, preview first-round games and call out the players, teams and prospective games to watch. The NCAA Field Hockey Championships are scheduled for Friday-Sunday, November 19-21, at Kentner Stadium on the campus of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.
College Sports TV will televise the Championship Game live Sunday, November 21 (12:30 p.m. ET/9:30 a.m. PT), with Beth Mowins calling the action, Siri Lindley handling color commentary and Jenny Cavnar providing sideline analysis.
In addition, for this year only, the show will also be shown simultaneously on www.NCAAsports.com. The bracket announcement is expected to last approximately five to ten minutes and immediately after, the official bracket will be posted on www.NCAAsports.com.
Wake Forest, which captured its second straight NCAA Field Hockey Championship in 2003 with a 3-1 victory over Duke, is currently ranked #1 according to the coaches poll, followed in descending order by fellow ACC powers North Carolina, Duke and Maryland. Michigan State completes the Top 5.
MINIMUM COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS
In order to view the selection show via the Internet, you will need the following:
• Sound Card - Viewers must have a sound card in their system. • Modem - Must have a 28.8k modem or higher. (56k or higher is recommended for better quality.) • Speakers - System must have speakers. • Access - You must have Internet access to a browser. Browsers must all be current versions, i.e., Explorer version 4.0 or higher or Netscape 4.6 or higher. (AOL users may have some difficulties, make sure you are using the most recent version and it is Java enabled.) Staff page requires i.e. 4.0 or better. • Media Player - Must have the current version of media player installed. Windows Media player preferred. • Computer - We suggest a processor equivalent to a Pentium or better with 32 Mb Ram.
